Returns & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

We at Crafts of Malnad are committed to delivering high-quality, handmade products that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Malnad region. Since products are handcrafted, slight variations in color, texture, design, or size may occur and are part of their unique charm.


2. Order Cancellation

a. Before Dispatch

  • You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched.
  • To request cancellation, please contact our support team via email or the Contact Us form on the website.
  • If your cancellation request is accepted, you will receive a full refund in the original payment method.

b. After Dispatch

  • Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation is not permitted.
  • You may instead follow the Returns & Replacement process (see below) if the item is eligible.

3. Returns, Replacement & Refund

Because our products are handcrafted and perishable in nature, we accept returns and replacements only under the following conditions:

  • Eligible Cases
  • Product received is damaged
  • Product received is defective
  • Product received is significantly different from the website description
  • Ineligible Cases
  • Change of mind (since products are custom/limited-edition)
  • Minor variations in color or size due to natural materials or handcrafting process
  • Damage after delivery due to improper handling

4. Return & Replacement Process

Step 1: Report the Issue

  • Contact us within 3 days of delivery with:
  • Order number
  • Photos showing the damage/defect
  • Description of the issue

Step 2: Verification

  • Our team will review your request.
  • For quality verification, we may ask for additional photos.

Step 3: Return Shipment

  • If approved, you will receive return instructions.
  • We may arrange pickup or ask you to ship the item to a designated return address.

Step 4: Replacement or Refund

  • After receiving and verifying the returned item:
  • Replacement: We ship a replacement if available.

Refund: If a replacement is not possible, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.


5. Refund Timeline

Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days after we receive the returned item and complete verification. However, the exact credit posting time depends on your payment provider.


6. Shipping Costs for Returns

If the return is due to our error (damaged/defective products):
We will bear the return shipping cost.

If the return is due to customer’s preference/change of mind:
Returns are not accepted for change of mind.
