The craft of Navalgunda Durries comes from the town of Navalgund in Karnataka and is a centuries-old weaving tradition. These durries (flat-woven rugs) are made on primitive pit looms, often handled exclusively by women, while men assist in preparing the loom and dyeing the yarn.
